Dear Massachusetts High School Football Coaches,

With the advent of every Fall comes new challenges as we try to balance football coaching with our professional careers and our
first priority-family.  While there never seems to be enough time in the day, somehow it all gets done and some how we remember
why we do it...for the kids and for the love of the game.

Like our parents before us, we should all ask ourselves: how do we leave the next generation of football coaches better off, how
do we improve our game and how do we better help the young men who play football in Massachusetts? One of my goals as
president this year is to involve the assistant coaches and enlist their help in our association.  In addition, we should continue to
grow our relationship with the Kraft family and the New England Patriots.  Last spring, our association worked hard to bring a first
class combine to Gillette Stadium. The Kraft family has generously dedicated a place for our elected Hall of Fame members in the
Patriots Hall of Fame.  This year we are working on having our annual football clinic at Gillette Stadium/Patriots Place (date to be
announced shortly) and are in the discussion phase regarding the possibility of the Patriots hosting the Shriners' Classic All-Star
game. We need your help in making sure our association runs smoothly. Whether it is simply paying your dues, submitting your
Super 26 and Shriners nominations or sending your junior prospect information for the prospect book, you can make a difference.

I would like to take the opportunity to thank the executive board in advance for their dedication to the game and the kids of
Massachusetts.  I wish all of you a fun, safe and memorable Fall season and on behalf of the Massachusetts High School Football
Coaches Association, my best to you and your family.

Sincerely,
Gary Doherty
