Each year the MHSFCA in connection with the Aleppo Shriners of Massachusetts,
co-sponsors an Eastern Massachusetts All-Star Football Game.  For the past twenty-eight
years, forty-four players from the North have played against  forty-four players from the
South in the Shriners All-Star Football Classic.  All proceeds from the game are donated to
the Shriners Hospital in Boston. The association is proud to have donated thousands of
dollars over the years to this worthy charity. The twenty-ninth edition of the game is
scheduled for June 19, 2009, at Bentley College, in Waltham MA.  In order for a player to
participate in the game, he must be nominated by his coach. Nomination forms are included
in the packets distributed by league representatives at the November league meetings. At the
December meeting of the MHSFCA Executive Board, the coaches for the North and South
Squads are selected.  The players from each squad are then selected by the coaching staffs,
sometime in January.  Paul Costello serves as the association liason to the Aleppo Shriners
Temple.  Bob Bancroft is the liason to the South Squad and Al Costabile is the liason to the
North Squad.
